Two Pairs of Eyes
An immersive ghost story
Inroads have received ACE funding for the production of Two Pairs of Eyes ( An Immersive Ghost Story), coming to Newhaven Fort, East Sussex, 19th – 22nd May 2022.
Newhaven Fort has a history of ghostly sightings and unexplained sounds, and Sara Clifford writer & Artistic Director of Inroads Productions, collected nearly 40 local stories in her initial research, some of which are woven into the script.
Featuring live theatre, music, song and dance, and rooted in Newhaven’s local stories, this show will be a shiver up the spine and a celebration of life, a promenade production, where the audience moves around the Fort into different spaces.
TWO PAIRS OF EYES is the fourth show Inroads has produced for and in Newhaven, and our 10th since 2012.
It is directed by Amie Burns Walker, produced by Judith Hibberd and written/co-produced by Sara Clifford. The cast includes Nicola Blackwell, Melody Brown, Stephanie Carr, Sam Cartwright and Sidney Keane, and an ensemble cast of participants from the local community, including Studio Tempo and the Tidemills Choir.
Live music includes hurdy gurdy, violin and drum and song, with Max Sweatman and The Sussex Drummer.
There will also be a digital version available to view later in the year - please check www.inroads.org.uk for when this becomes available.
Thanks also to Farnham Maltings, the Chalk Cliff Trust, Sussex Community Foundation, Newhaven Town Council and East Sussex Arts Partnership for funding support.
